The Arts League is an advocate for the African American artistic expression and a catalyst for economic development.  The Arts League is engaged in partnerships with a number of diverse arts organizations throughout the metro-Detroit community.  These collaborations represent organizations serving, supporting, and celebrating the African American cultural arts traditions.

The Arts League, singularly and in collaboration, offers an array of unique programs and activities designed to present distinctive artistic cultural expressions that attract multi-cultural audiences. The Arts League has presented a variety of programs including:

  •  The Harlem Nutcracker, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and This Far By Faith: A Celebration of Detroit's Gospel Heritage - The Detroit Opera House and University Musical Society
